Promtion comes after Daniel 2

Some people do not like me because I speak the truth. I do not hide behind false stories to elevate myself. I fight for truth and I stand for what is right. There are times where my silence has appeared to be seen as guilt or cowardliness, but it is in my silence where I can think straight and choose the appropriate way to respond.
I don't pretend to be the person everyone wants to me to be. I don't play games and I don't waste my time. I look to the future and every minute as though it has great purpose. I am destiny driven because everyone has a call, but not everyone knows how to find it.
We pretend so much in this day and age. There is rarely any authenticity. We live in a fast paced world where everything is about the "me first". We see the main purpose in life as striving to get a head. It means nothing to take short cuts, cheat, or to lie just to have our appearance shine at the end of the day, and for our boss/pastor to recognize our name.
What about character? What about doing what's right because that is what is right? What about standing alone because no one else will speak up? What about telling the truth when everyone else wants to lie, or you know you were in the wrong? Why are we so afraid to stand out and stand up for what is right? Why are we so afraid to stand alone?
This world can be a very lonely place, but at the end of the day obedience to God means so much more then fitting in with the status quo. At the end of the season trends change, people change, and so does what others expect you to be. The only thing that will promise to remain is your integrity and who you choose to be. You can fit in and look the same, or you can stand out and set yourself apart for an even greater purpose in life; to be God's light unto a dark and lonely world.
Daniel (chapter 2:46-47) stood out and in the end he was promoted by King Nebuchadnezzar. It may seem when you are obedient you take the bench while others who lack integrity seem to be pushed ahead, but know this!
You are not called to push people out of your way to fulfill the call of God on your life. God did not create you to elevate your flesh! God created you to sit still, hear His voice, and be obedient when He calls.
Promotion and elevation comes from obedience and only from the Father. Every other promotion will soon one day fade, but a promotion from God will remain! Promotion from the father is so much more then a mere position and acceptance from others here on earth.
It's eternal.
