The power of the spoken word

The Power in the Spoken word: September 7, 2014

The greatness of God can not be put into words. We choose to believe by simply choice. We either believe he is who he says he is, or we don't. If I am saying that I believe God will do as he says, but really I am freaking out then am I really trusting with my whole heart? If we take in our surroundings and we really take the time to see the beauty in everything, then we will see the beauty of our creator. Have you ever seen the grand canyon? Have you ever been to the ocean? Have you ever been to a forest preserve in the fall? These are the very things that God spoke in to existence.

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “ Let there be light”; and there was light.

He saw a void and he filled it. He spoke the word and brought forth light. He spoke it. There is power in the spoken word. The power is in his words.

This morning the Lord gave me a vision of a giant that has been trying to paralyze me. Here stood this giant trying to pressure and intimidate me, and then here is God; he takes a deep breathe and blows towards this giant. There was no room for this giant and God was showing me; when he speaks things in to motion they happen. There is no power of the enemy that can steal His word. When God breathes life in to a situation, that situation has to obey. He spoke the entire world in to existence with just speaking. We either believe him or not. If he can make all the details of the scenery around us, we believe he is the creator, then surely we can believe that he loves us enough to speak words in to our situation. Do you believe he loves you? Do you believe whatever situation you are in right now, he can speak life in to it and turn it completely around? That very power and authority is in us. He has given us the power and authority to speak to our situations. How you ask?
The power of the spoken word!

Jesus multiple times in his ministry spoke to the situation. He spoke the very word that we now have in written form aka: the Bible. We have access to everything word we will ever need, but we have to speak it over our situations. We have to speak life and truth no matter what it looks like. He has given that power for us to use, because his word is power. Every word is an alive seed being planted as you speak it. It will reach a harvest.
