Destruction of a flaming tongue
Gossip is destruction! Gossip destroys people's reputations. If what you are about to say does not edify or encourage one another, or is not trying to bring solution to a problem, and if you are not involved then silence yourself. Gossip is more then likely someone's juicy twist of something that in part may have actually occurred. Most the time gossip is Un true. Once you take a true story and add your own details, then it no longer is truth.
Gossip destroys friendships. Gossip destroys relationships. Gossip brings destruction every time it's spoken.
If you really care about that person then check on that person. If what other's are saying about the person you love, then stand up for that person and choose to believe you know them. Don't believe other people's lies before you even talk to the one they're talking about. Guard their heart. Gossip is destructive and it will destroy a person's reputation. For those that allow it; destroys them.
Bite your tongue. Guard the hearts and emotions of others. Don't expose what others have enclosed to you. Don't make up your own tale. Guard them and silence your tongue. People are not the only conversations to have, and if it is you need to check 2 things.

2. The people around you, because those you surround yourself with won't want to talk about others.
