Forgotten portion

As I was feeding the dogs I was reminded about how we can be so greedy and stuff conscious that we hover over the things that God has blessed us with. It brought me to the passage in 1 Samuel 9:23-24 where Samuel sets aside a portion for Saul. He reserved it specifically for Saul. We get so stuck on what other's have that we don't, or what is happening in someone else's life before yours. I'm going to be raw! Ladies if you can't be excited for your friends getting engaged with out making it about what you don't have, then what makes you think you're ready for that? We are jealous and greedy because we have forgotten that our Father has already gone before us into the kitchen and He has RESERVED (Kept for another or future use; retained.) us a Portion straight from His cook, and He has kept it for YOU for an APPOINTED (Fixed; set; established; decreed; ordained; constituted; allotted.) time. We don't have to hover over the things God has given us, and we don't have to be jealous or greedy. God is a Good Father and He has a meal set aside just for you, but that meal will come in His perfect time (whatever that meal is in your life, trust Him; for He knows what He's cooking!

Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for the appointed time;
It ]hastens toward the goal and it will not fail.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
For it will certainly come, it will not delay.
