No Weapon: Isaiah 54
We all know the familiar scripture Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against me will prosper. Tonight as I read through a passage I have read many times, there was something about this familiar scripture that caused me to dig deeper. There is so much more to this passage. In the Message translation this is how it reads.
I create the blacksmith
who fires up his forge
and makes a weapon designed to kill.
I also create the destroyer—
but no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged.
He created the blacksmith which is the person who makes the weapons, and he also created the destroyer: the person who uses the weapons, but there has never been a weapon created to destroy us! To put any harm to us! He created the destroyer and the one who makes the weapons, but there is not one weapon ever formed that can harm to us. There is absolutely Nothing in this world that can bring harm to us. I don't know about you, but that really blew me away! No matter the size, or shape of your situation know that there is nothing that can come against us. Absolutely Nothing! He is our protector.
Thank you Jesus! Thank you Father, that even when life circumstances try to get the best of us; it is in your promise that there is no weapon formed against us that will prosper. We are overcomers! We are more than conquers, because we are free from everything that tries to harm us. Thank you Father for your divine protection. Thank you that No sickness/disease, No poverty, and No heart break can harm us! Nothing! Absolutely Nothing! Thank you for your strength to stand in the midst of the storms of life, and stand with hearts full of joy because we know nothing can touch us!
