Never Let Go

A very famous worship song (You Never Let Go: Matt Redman) has been playing on repeat all day in my heart.

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

It got me thinking how grateful I am. No matter the valleys and storms we encounter he never leaves us. No matter the mistakes we make he never lets go. Even when we feel as though we can barely hold on it is his strength that takes the rope, so we can let go and fully rely on him. No matter the highest mountain you climb, or the lowest valley you fall he promises to never fail us or forsake us. (Joshua1:5) No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.

What freedom we have to know the comfort of our Father's arms. As a child you just want to please your parents and you want to feel their warm embrace, but with God we already have both, freely given to us. All we have to do is ask him to reveal himself. When you feel as though all hope is gone, and there is nothing left to hold; He is there. Ask him to hold you when you are not strong enough to stand. Ask him to stand for you when you're too weak to stand. Ask him to fight for you and he will show you the battle is already won. The enemy has been defeated. He's there waiting for you to ask him for his help. We get too independent at times and what he wants is for us to completely be dependent on him. He has every need you're trying so hard to provide for yourself. He has every answer to every question you have right now. He is willing to answer every question, but first we have to be honest with Him. Allow him to speak. Allow him to show you the strength that only he gives. He is there right now carrying you through the storm. Whatever the battle is he already knows, so let him in. Let him take all the pain and the weight. He loves you. He so desperately loves you, and there is absolutely nothing that you can do that will stop him from coming after you. He is the Father that never leaves, and He is the groom that will always stay.

Ask him! Say Heavenly Father, I can not do this alone. I may not have all the right words to say, and I may not know all the right things to do, but right now I need you. I thank you daddy that you are all the strength that I need. I thank you that there is nothing I can do to make you not love me. I thank you that right now as I ask you to come into my heart and take my life, that is exactly what you are doing. Jesus I believe your son died for me and he took my sins so that I can be free. Right now I receive you Jesus, and I believe in your great love for me. Father take my life and make it yours. Show me your plans and desires for my life. Teach me who I am in Christ. Thank you Father for being my daddy who I know will never let go.
In Jesus Name - Amen
